1. shut down tablet

2. plug the charger

3. press menu and holding it.

4. plug the usb from my win 7 (keeping menu holding)

i think you miss this step

You need to put the device in flashing/recovery mode to transfer the firmware firmware to the tablet with Rockchip tool.
The general idea is to put a paper clip in the reset pinhole of the tablet, combined with a button press. You first need to push the reset, holding it for a few seconds then press the activation button (depends on the tablet model) while holding the reset for a few seconds, then release the activation button and the reset

I think you do not press the reset button.

press first the reset button, and then the Menu button.

It took me like 10 times to get it in recovery mode as well. Every time I put the paperclip in the reset pinhole and pushed a button, the tablet started and showed me the Arnova logo. But after many tries, I was almost ready to give up, it suddenly worked for me. The Arnova logo didn't show up. I remember putting in the paperclip, pushing like 2 seconds on the button, releasing the button, and then releasing the paper clip.

Sublimo, chrila, I have a 9G2 and the correct steps to put the tablet in recovery mode is:

Press and hold the menu button, with a paper clip press the reset button, when you heard the confirmation noise in your computer (that is for about 3 to 4 seconds), pull out the paper clip and a couple seconds later you can release the menu button; at this point your tablet is in recovery, the screen keeps black and rockshiptool shows the green icon.

God luck

Admin,

I flashed ICS in my 9G2 some time ago and I like it, but internet keeps closing after a few minutes surfing, I tried with different browsers but is the same thing; surfing on the net for some time and sudenly the browser close; is this related to the lack of ram memory of the 9G2?? I keep killing apps to save RAM but it is annoying; I ask because I didn't see too many people complaining about this; I flashed the tablet with no issues a few times to see if improves but no.

Thanks

I don't think this is related to the lack of RAM. If your crashes are only web browser related, you may have installed an Adobe Flash version that is not stable on the 9 G2. Try to update latest on Google Play.

If you get regular force closes outside the browser, it may be a system issue, try to flash again your tablet with the ICS firmware, using Restore button in Rockchip flasher than the Update button. That will do an extra system formating that may help.

Cheers.

Hi!

I'm thinking in upgrade my Arnova 9 G2 to ICS but first can someone tell me one thing?

I like to watch flash video while I'm surfing the web with my browser. For Youtube videos I can use the APP, but for the other videos on the web, I have to use the browser. So here is my question:  Is flash player working properly on ICS (also fullscreen)?

This is the most important thing for me, otherwise I prefer to leave the things as they are...

Thanks to everyone for the help!

Finally I decided to upgrade my Arnova 9 G2 to ICS and I must say WOOOOOOOW!
IT'S AWESOME! Everything is working perfectly, the new Flash Player 11.1 works great, the system is faster and feels a lot better, and even videocalls with the latest version of skype are working!!! I'm soooo happy and I would like to thank you because I'm finally happy with my "NEW" tablet!!Laugh

For Vinhod: To put my tablet into recovery mode I pressed the reset button while holding down the menu button. When I heard Windows advising for a new device connected, I released the reset button while still holding the Menu button for a few seconds more.
When I released the menu button, the tablet went to recovery mode.  I hope this could help you
