Hi all, Â I'm struggling to get my Arnova 9 G2 running again. Â It was running custom firmware installed via arctools about 5months ago and yesterday just got stuck in a boot loop (when you turn on the arnova screen is shown, the screen goes black and arnova screen comes back up in a loop)
Looking through the forum I have installed the Rockchip programme and tried to get into recovery mode on the device... Â I have tried:
Reset+Menu (15sec) then release menu then reset
Reset+menu (15sec) then release reset then menu
menu+reset (15sec) then release menu then reset
Menu+reset (15sec) then release reset then menu
and the same using the esc/home/power buttons with no luck.
I've tried with power in/power out/usb in/usb out and combinations of power/usb in out with no luck.
When connected to my computer rockchip device 1 box flashes pink and then disappears when the arnova logo disappears (Before starting the loop again). Â It does try and install but think that once the connection is lost (when the device starts the boot loop i am unable to get the drivers installed)
The closest thing I have had is when I press power/esc/menu for 10sec and the recovery menu appears. Â However there is an error about a missing file in E: and the only option i can select is reboot that then starts the loop again. Â If i connect to the rockchip tool the device appears as a mass storage only (i.e. no way of installing the drivers) the device 1 box is pink, It says switch successful but then errors when i try and upgrade or restore.
I have tried this on a Windows Xp 32bit, windows 7 32bit and windows 7 64bit and used rockchip 1.4, 1.5 and 1.7 all with the same issues.
I think that about covers it and hope all of that makes sense... Â Is there anything else I can do or is the device ready for the bin?
Thanks in advanceÂ
You can use Rockchip Batch Tool v1.5Â with the Arnova 9 G2.
From the device1 box in pink color, you can try clicking the Switch button in Rockchip batch tool, it should then turn green.

many thanks for the quick response.
I have just tried again using v1.5. Â I have put the device into recovery mode (By pressing power/esc/menu for 10sec) and connected to my PC. Â It is installed as a mass storage device and showing pink in the connected devices box (with 5-8-4) under it.Â
I click Switch and get a message saying switch done success <1> Fail <0>
The box stays pink
If I try the reset+menu the box just flashes pink when the arnova screen displays and then goes grey (signalling the device is disconnected)
Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks
