HI All,

Apologies if this question has already been asked, BUT - I purchased the Arnova 9 G2 from PC world a few days ago....trying to work out how to use the new 'toy' and discovered I cant get onto Google App Market place. (bare with me - a virgin Android user who previously has only used an iphone).

I tried to downloaded the ArcTools app in the hope that i could then get the android market place - i tried downloading all the different options and all of them came up with error messages (20 & 28 if i remember correctly). The only one that did work (or so i thought) was the rootless version - i have NO idea of the differences by the way! Once that was installed, i tried to go into the apps downloaded, and it kept coming up with another error message and force closure.

Any ideas? Will the 'fix' for Arnova 10 G2 work on the Arnova 9?

I am getting to the stage where i would quite happily throw the damned thing down the stairs or something...

Any helpful comments greatly appreciated!

You can try this method that should get you on the Market without the need of a custom firmware.

Arctools is currently not compatible with the Arnova 9 G2, that may change in the near future Wink

Arnova 10 G2 firmwares aren't compatible and shouldn't be tried on the 9 G2, they wouldn't load anyway if flashed thru the normal method (copying update.img to root directory) or would brick the device if flashed with Rockchip tool.
