you could try re-flashing the device i am presuming you have rebooted/reset the device, if not try this first. have u got an app to view the cpu usage? try going into settings/applications/running services and try ending some processes which are using alot of the cpu (but not essential, if they have complecated names they probably are essential)

I had a similar behavior with my device after flashing. After completly shutting down the Arnova and rebooting it went away...

Thanks both, in the end after rebooting and resetting failed, I reflashed and the problem has (so far) gone away. So now I have ICS with Google play, sweet!

But I just can't get Skype to work. I tried the old version that had been recommended for single camera phones but it simply won't allow me to use the camcer, and the microphone quality is realy staticky. Any workarounds, or any other ways of videomessaging that users have come across?

You can try to empty Play Store data, go to Settings / Apps, go to All tab / find Google Play Store in the list.

Press clear data button and try to restart the Market.

If the problem is still there it may be worth reflashing the firmware.

Well I tried about 4 times to re-flash the software and each time I got the error unable to download data so I tried one last time and it worked so I now have ICS on my Arnova 9G2 and it runs perfectly. The tablet is so much more responsive and everything is quicker from apps to surfing the net. Thanks so much for the software and all the tips and advice.

into recovery:

plugin to pc and turn off device

press and hold menu and power button simultaneously for around 5 seconds then push in resetbutton and hold all 3 in for a further 5 seconds (ish)

your pc should sound saying unknown device and your device should remain off if it turns on you did it wrong then type in

device manger into start and look for your arn9G2 it should be easy to spot as there will be an error as ther is no drives installed, clickonit and press install driver, then press browse my machine, navigate to driver location and install, then done Laugh

thats off memory so i think its right :/
