ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !

Hi I hve installed the Google Play/ Root Access firmware on my daughters tablet, installation has gone fine but I cannot use the tablet now since installation as on the start up screen it just sticks on the configuring touchpad screen. It says touch pad configured, click ok to continue, when I try and click ok nothing happens and it just goes through the configure touchscreen again. It seems that the touchscreen no longer works since installation.
Please help, my daughter is not amused as it was her xmas present
Thanks

What firmware did you used ?
Did you used arctools or the rockchip flasher ?

2013/01/30

Hi Thanks for the prompt response, I used the rockchip flasher tool and the file I downloaded was kasty-arn8cg3-40-042.zip Arnova 8c G3 custom firmware with Google Play and root. Any help you can provide on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks

Did you used restore or upgrade ?
Can you get the tablet in the flashing mode and flash it again using the restore option ?

2013/01/30

Hi I used the restore option, I can get it into flash mode, I re flashed it a second time to see if it would work, again the same thing happened. At first it kept getting stuck on a screen that said 'Please insert charger, power is running out' again the touch screen was un-responsive and would not aknowledge any commands and just kept going round in a loop.Â
Do you know if this process can damage the hardware in anyway?
Thanks
Brian

In each flashing process there is a certain risk.
I would recommend trying to flash with another usb cable, and always choose the Restore option, you could try even the jelly bean firmware.
