I tried to make some screenshots for you but was not able. Looks not easy on that device. The typical key shortcuts are not working.
Hi PaulErb
Push the switch and volume control (-) simultaneously for a few seconds. The screen picture is created and stored in the Gallery.

Thank you a lot.
Could create the screenshots now. But than see that somehow I gain the write access and could install the firmware.
The Google Play works now on my tablet as well. But for some apps in the store I just see that the app is not supported for my hardware. Same apps can be installed on my smartphone running Android 4.0.3.
Best regards and great community support.

aid and installed the custom firmware that worked perfect till now restart and again turn on the flash and still the same if someone can help me since I bought it 4 days thank you very much and sorry for my bad English
If you could explain your problem it would help.
In any case you don't need to re-flash every time, just make a soft reset.
You could do it by going into Settings and then StartWizard.

bryan140789I'll soon rework the 8b G3 rooted custom, it will provide 2 GB of storage space for apps.

hi
I have also purchased a Arnova 8bG3 and have downloaded the update firmware for Google Play but when i try to drag it on to the root it show a no entry sign i have placed it onto the SD card and that seems to have had no affect , what am i doing wrong. would really like to have access to Google play rather than the very antiquated applibbs.
regards

enable the usb storage and to the operation from the computer
move the update from the directory where you download it to the root of the storage.
you can also flash with rockchip tools in the end

What do you think ... how long will it take. The app storage space is the biggest problem of the Arnova 8b G3. It would be great to have 2 GB for apps.
Does anyone have WLAN-disconnection-problems with this firmware too? My WLAN disconnects every 5 minutes.
