You can try again anytime, just quit the application (menu button, then Exit) and restart the application when you have Wi-FI access to Internet.

You can also download the archive from the blog article page and copy it to the root of the device, then restart the tablet, it should pick it up and ask to flash the firmware.

Cheers.

There is very little chance that the Arnova 8 G3 custom firmware probably would work on the Arnova 8b G3.
Most devices use different hardware (screen, touchscreen, memory chips, ...) and the driver or system modules are different.

Hi. Thanks to the creator/modifier of this ROM.

Can someone please provide/compile the correct version of tun.ko module(required for VPN connections, e.g., Hotspot Shield, DroidVPN, etc) for this ROM? I've tried "tun.ko" installer from the market, but the version it installs for our ROM reboots the tablet when a VPN connection is made. Thanks.

Below are the details of the kernel for which the tun.ko module is required:

uname -a

Linux localhost 3.0.8+ #122 PREEMPT Sat Jun 9 20:04:49 CST 2012 armv7l GNU/Linux

uname -r

3.0.8+

cat /proc/version

Linux version 3.0.8+ (root@ubuntu) (gcc version 4.4.0 (GCC) ) #122 PREEMPT Sat Jun 9 20:04:49 CST 2012

-----

Thanks.
