We have a new Arnova 8 G2 8GB in the family since christmas and its causing lots of confusion. One of the main problems is although it is 8GB and has over 6GB available in NAND flash ( whatever that is ) and also I have added a 4GB mini SD card it always claims to have just 120mb or around that available and so when trying to download further apps a message appears " Make more space available" . We can transfer apps manually from internal memory to the SD card but it doesn't really help. Anyone know if its possible to download apps and updates into the larger storage spaces.
Maybe I am overlooking the obvious, so excuse me if I can't see the wood for the trees...
Like the Arnova 10 G2, it looks like the 8G2 also has limited space for the installed applications in /data.
This will probably worked out with a procedure to installs Apps on SDcard or thru the use of a custom firmware. Watch the forum for updates on the subject.

A simple change can be made to the parameter file to get more space available. If this is like the 10 G2 you can get up to 458MB on a fresh system. So far I have not even come close to using it all on my 10 G2
If you want to try it use my parameter file from my 10 G2 rom kit. I bet it will work for the 8 G2. However you will have to reflash completely which menas you will loose all your apps and have to reinstall. To use my parameter file you will have to use the flash tool with my rom kit and EraseIDB.
