Hello There, im new to the forum but already have a big problem.

 

I bought a new Arnova 8 G2 cap. screen 8 gb.

 

Now the problem is that the firmware i update is from SOWA.

 

i got some bugs in this firmware and want to change it back to default firmware.

here is the problem if i copy the original firmware in the root it says its invalid. and i like to delete it...

 

how can i fix this problem?

Try to flash this firmware with Rockchip flashing tool.

Many thanks for the fast reply!

 

But now i got another problem, if i try to get my arnova 8 G2 in reset / recovery mode i think it issent working for me... what u need to see? i put the paperclip in the rest hole and hold the volume buttons but nothing happens on the tablet 🙁

 

EDIT( also if the pc see an unknow device i cant install the drivers it says there are none on the computer in 00000000.1 seconds

Simple, Copy the .IMG file to the root of the device.

 

But if il copy any .img file the root its invalid..

Can you try the appropriate firmware from this page: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featured/arnova-firmwares-updates/

Make sure you're getting the right firmware, 8b G2 and 8 G2 firmwares are different and work only on the device they're made for.

Im for 100%  sure i got the right one but it still says its not valid firmware update and ask me if i like to delete it...

Which 8 G2 model do you have ? capacitive or resistive, 4 Gb storage or 8 Gb ?

Well, this error message usually comes when the firmware device signature differs from the current one on the device. There is no reason for Sowa's firmware to change it, but it's worth checking what your device signature is.

Can you install Arctools from here and copy the device info you get on the first two lines (Device: and Build: ) from the "Firmware" tab in the application.

Looks like the regular Arnova 8 G2 kernel.

Well, I don't get why it refuses to flash the firmware, flashing thru Rockchip flasher is probably one of the best options.

If it looks like it does not work on your device, make sure you read the troubleshooting section in the article.
