my new 7e G2 is showing an icon for low on internal memory. It says i have less than 150mb available space. NAND flash shows 2.83GB Total with 2.82 Available. No SD card has been inserted.
I have only installed Appslib, Angry Birds and Guardian newspaper.
The Tech Spec says I should have 4gb internal storage. Where has it all gone then.
What is NAND flash? Is the equivalent of RAM and unavailable as storage?
the nand flash is the main drive of the arnova(here you have the operating system and the apps), not the 4gb space
for example on arnova 7c g2 the space for the system is 120 mB, and another 256 for the applications
on your tablet you should have around 160-200 mb for the system, and another 300 for applications (usually the rockchip based tablets have 512 internal memory)
The 4gb is not the same thing as the nand memory
To overcome this thing the app to sd function was invented, in this way you save alot of space
To check exactly how much space you still have available for apps go to settings/applications/manage applications, and there you will see what is your internal space size available.
Your device should have
512 Nand (internal memory)
Thanks. I think I understand. Only confusing part is the 4gb internal memory that is in the technical spec which does not appear in the available space. http://arnovatech.com/products/g2/arn_7e/specs.html?country=de&lang=de
the 4gb are more like a sd card only that is inside the arnova 🙂
