Still a few things to fix then we can publish it, hopefully in the next two weeks.

Cheers.

HI! I was just is there any way I can play Dead Space or any other games that doesn't require rooting with this tablet..because when I try to play some guys with it it just gives me white images, I was following your post to check if you were able to root he tablet already. Hoping you can provide us the step by step way of making the tablet work for root

Here is a custom firmware with Google Play (formerly Android Market) and full root for the Arnova 7d G3.

This is a test firmware that should work fine but there are still few things to modify before publishing the final firmware in the coming days.

Download: http://www.arctablet.com/assets/firmware/Arnova7G3/kasty-arn7dg3-40-42b.zip

Flash with Rockchip Flash tool, you can refer to the Arnova 7b G3 custom firmware for more information (see alternative flashing method only, the easy flashing method isn't available for the 7d G3 yet).

Cheers.

The Arnova 7d is not yet support in the easy flashing procedure, I should add it soon.

As you can see in the video (here on an Arnova 7f G3) it will just take about 10 minutes to complete.

Is it difficult to do?

What are the chances for going wrong and what then?

I dont want to brick my tablet.

Do i only need the image you posted?

I saw the video, and i see that it will update with a program on your PC.

Greetings all, new member here. I just purchased the Arnova 7d 3g and have tried for hours to get my computer to recognize and install the drivers correctly in Windows 7-64 and XP. I have downloaded the required files and followed the procedure but no go. Can someone help?

I think I am putting it into the correct mode: I hold down the reset and then the power button and let go and I get a screen with the android character on his back with a "panel" open and a red triangle. All this with the cable unplugged. I then start RKbatch Tool and that window opens up fine.

Then I plug in the cable and my computer recognizes something and identifies it as AN7d3g and when I direct it to the proper folder for the drivers, it doesn't find the right one or provide a list for me to choose from.

What am I doing wrong?

Firstly, connect the tablet with the usb cable to your computer. Then quickly press first on the reset and then on power button. The screen should go black and unknown device should appear. If the tablet just keeps restarting, try holding down the reset until unknown device appears (it is the easiest to monitor in the device manager).

Greetings again!!!

I must say that the custom firmware that you created is awesome!!!! It really makes this a very nice tablet. I don't know what other people paid for theirs, but I paid $69.00 with no sales tax at Brandsmart in Miami during their Labor Day sale. Your firmware makes it worth keeping!!!!
