Hello,

 

I just bought a Arnova 7D G3 capacitive and i would like to root it to use the arctools to install google play.

I tried to install google play manualy but that just crashes the moment i start it.

 

Hopefully you can help me with guiding me to the correct website/tutorial.

I tried to find it using google but i cant find anything for this particular device.

I hope i posted this in the correct forum. if not i'm sorry

My 7 G3 was rooted out of the box... download a root checker(use google) copy to device and run it...

Well apparently i'm an unlucky one.

 

according to root checker and sd maid  my device is NOT rooted.

 

i bought my device today in the Netherlands. (  i live there)

 

Was there maybe a update or different version then in different country's  ?

 

I can install different apk's without a problem though :/ ( sorry im not a root expert )

Let me guess - MyCom? (or somebody else from that group)

Because the 7d G3 runs on a RK2918 processor and not Allwinner A10(it's sort of in-house developed by Archos), it is not rooted out of the box. Anyways, arctools doesn't support Arnova 7d G3 yet, but you can help us with making it happening. 🙂 If you are interested, I can help you with getting root access, dumping the stock firmware; so we(read: admin :D) can add Google Play...

I bought it at a store called dixons ( .nl if you want to see the online shop part )

 

Well i got google play working.

and then had to use http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/5343/android-cant-establish-a-reliable-data-connection-to-the-server/ ( youtube method) to get it working.

It isnt stable but fine enough for me.
