Hi, does anyone know if a firmware update has been released for the 7c g3, I downloaded arctools, managed to download " Arnova 7 g3 google play store and apps install" however when i tell it to install apps I get error 28 cannot create temp directory and error 20 file copy failure. Cannot seem to find a solution anywhere and help would be so appreciatted.
i will send you a pm when i get home
but for the start you will need some knowldge about fastboot adb
have installed java sdk and android sdk
there are 2 firmware available at this moment
1: a version that is rooted and has cwm recovery
2: a version that is not rooted, has fully market support, but you will loose the adb debugging ability. (this firmware is from identical device that has the phone capabilities, but still it does not enable the calling function on the 7cg3)
so give a reply here on which one you want, and i will send you some links and guides to what to do and how to flash
i need to make an addition, flashing involves risks
even tough my guides have not bricked no one devices, there is allways that chance, in the worst case, the device will be in a softbrick state and ussualy i had 100 percent recover rate of recovery.
Arctablet.com or me globula_neagra can not be held responsible for any faults/bricking of the devices that are flashed thru my guide and sotfware that i provide.
You as a user asume the risks of using the software/guides that we provide.
Helo, sorry to inform but for the moment i will not offer the firmware that enables Play Market.
And when it will be available, it will be in a closed circle.
Hi, writing within this topic suggests that I got interested while having an Arnova 7c G3 device.
Although the title mentions a new firmware, my real interest rests in rooting this device.
Since it's new to me, I would like to learn, whether it has a recovery option / possibility, and hence whether there are any specific Archos ADB USB Drivers for Windows or any generic would suffice.
Then, are any rooting instruments available for downloading here or not.
Maybe, you would suggest installing a new firmware, though I have been rather conservative enough to be looking for new features whatsoever.
Google Market provided is not a proper question, since Google does commercialize everything. I could well do without Google Market anyway.
Use superoneclick to install the adb drivers.
I have a tool that roots this tablet, send me a pm if you want a link for download.
After you root the tablet you will be able to dump the firmware from the tablet
write me a pm and we can arrange something.
i did not received nothing
