Hi!

I managed to root the an7cg3 and sent it into fastboot via adb reboot bootloader

i installed the adb usb drivers, but as soon as the tablet enters fastboot, windows doesn't recognize it anymore and i can't find a way to flash cwm recovery onto it.

the device manager in windows shows an android device that is missing a driver and none of the drivers i tried are working. i tried the drivers from this topic and the ones from superoneclick but windows keep telling me that those are not the right drivers.

i don't know what to do. as i said, my tablet is recognized by windows in usb debugging (driver installed without a problem) and i thought that was all the drivers it needs.

(sry for my bad grammar, german user ^^)

What windows you have ?
You can flash the cwm, also via terminal, just copy the cwm to the sdcard, and swap some values
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16
sync
reboot recovery

sdcard is the arnova storage

thy for the quick reply!

I'm using windows 7.

what terminal do you mean? (I'm really new to this, sorry!)

(Okay i think i found the terminal. I installed terminal emulator from the applib. i entered the command you wrote above, but it tells me /dev/block/mmcblk0p16: cannot open for write: Permission denied)

Please do a back-up before, otherwise you might end up with a tablet on which the touch screen will not work.

There I am again..

So i made a complete backup, dropped the custom firmware on my micro sd, went to recovery mode and selected apply update from external storage, when this showed up:

-- Install /sdcard ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted

I tried to google this error message, and found something about the command "toggle verification" but cwm is missing this command.

sry for still failing with this!

Did you flashed the recovery ?
Double check the version, to be sure that you don`t have the stock one.
