I used your script, I saw "Press any key to exit and have fun with your rooted phone", I have no error message during the script. I used the script even under windows (using the right adb driver) to try to understand where I am wrong.
But when I use:
adb shell mv /system/recovery-from-boot.p /system/recovery-from-boot.p.old
I have "No such file or directory" message.
I see the SuperSU correctly installed in my tablet.
Have I any hope to solve the problem?
Thanks in advance....
try to find that file in system/etc/recovery-from-boot.p and remove it
or in the first location /system/recovery-from-boot.p
My advice is dump your boot.img and system.img first.
I am uploading a fastboot version flashable firmware of the zip file in the first post.
It would be available here
The file should have around 246 Mb, at this moment is uploading, it should be up in about 30 minutes.
As i said, first dump your current files from the tablet, so you will have a back`up available, copy them somewhere safe, and then try what i will upload.
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 of=/external_sd/recovery.img bs=4096
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 of=/external_sd/system.img bs=4096
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p8 of=/external_sd/boot.img bs=4096
so I have the three img files saved.
To be clear, when your img file will be available I have to do:
fastboot flash system yourimage.img
Is it correct?
Yes, do the same with the boot.img that is available in the zip, also with the recovery
fastboot flash system system_new.img
And you should be fine.
The file should be now uploaded
The exact size of the file is
245.8 MB (245,760,000 bytes)
well, i was somehow expecting this, that`s why i told you to back`up the system.img
try to inter in recovery, you can do that if the usb debugging is enabled, or using an otg cable with a mouse, by going to system, about tablet, system updates. and flash the zip from the first page
Well, from my knowledge there are 2 versions of 7C G3 and of course it also relates with the fact that i am able to re-compile my stuff and re-test when i get something wrong, I cannot offer you a straight answer, my advice to you now, would be to upload the system and boot and share them with me, so i can check if something is different.
The tablet is virtually unbrickable if you don`t delete some partitions from it, and my flashing method does not affect in any way the integrity of tablet in terms of deleting partitions.
Tun.ko modules available
Thanks i will try this week with my VPN.
I am trying to build an overclockable kernel now 1.8 Ghz max so keep an eye .
