You are the second that reports this, i need to have a look on what is happening.

In the end if i don`t find a solution i will provide a low level reflashing tool.

See PM ^.^

Im afraid with flash the system, i did the backup of the system and boot, i forgot the recovery.

i think that is something related with the fact that the stock firmware re-writes the recovery partition at each start-up

make a dump of your system.img

A bad news is that the low level format tool is not working anymore due to a licence issue with the company of which was registered the tool.
Later edit: It seems that is a general problem with that tool, also on other tablets made by the same manufacturer the tool is not working anymore.

I tried a lot of tun.ko`s sadly i did not found one working, we need the kernel source to compile one.

i did not build the firmware from scratch, i just dumped the firmware, added root, busybox, init.d and that`s it.
i did tried before to compile a tun.ko for a russian guy using huawei u8860 source code but without any results.
If you don't believe me, is your choice, if i would have had the kernel source, this tablet would have had by now cm9 at least.

hello,

I am experiencing a problem with my arnova 7c g3.

I cannot boot in recovery mode!

I am using adt-bundle-linux-x86-20130514 on Debian 6.0.

I did:

adb reboot bootloader

fastboot flash recovery recovery5.5.0.4.img (with ok messages)

fastboot continue

and then I tried:

adb reboot recovery and system-update and volume up+power but nothing!!

I obviously copied the zip file in the sd card.

Please help!

it is not working because the stock firmware is always flashing back the stock recovery upon start-up.
Delete the file recovery-from-boot.p from /system
Of course this involves having your tablet already rooted, you can use the tool provided in the first posts.
