I've been searching for this solution for a while now as I need to bring my tablet back to factory stock settings for warranty purposes.

I have flashed both the system and boot images from this thread: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-7c-g2-android-firmware-development/stock-rom-download-and-flash-tutorial/

but I can't find the stock recovery image.

If anyone has any better ideas how to bring it back to stock. I'm all ears. I also checked the Arnova site and they don't seem to host the 7c g2 firmware anymore!

Arnova never offered the 7cG2 firmware to download, so are missing many Arnova models firmwares on their site as well.

I haven't found the stock recovery on our site, maybe one of the Arnova 7cG2 developers here has it and can post it.

I'm happy to help IF I can! I have standard factory unit as I've been holding out any upgrade. However, I do not have the knowledge on how to create an image. I do have most the tools installed on my PC as per the guides here, so if you are able to advise on the process to back up the orignal rom, I'll try and get the time to do so.

I contacted tremendo by email, here is his answer about the stock recovery dump:

i tried dd'ing it once but failed

He may eventually stop by the forum to give some more details.

So the make a rumpdump you need this file http://android.podtwo.com/romdump/romdump_v82b.zip
after that you need to go to adb
and use the the fallowing commands:

C:\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>adb push "C:\Users\Mortu\Desktop\ZTE V(9FI
LES\romdump_v82b\romdump" /data/local/
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
2835 KB/s (1149900 bytes in 0.396s)

C:\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>adb shell chmod 04755 /data/local/romdump

C:\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>adb shell
sh-3.2# chmod 04755 /data/local/romdump
chmod 04755 /data/local/romdump
sh-3.2# /data/local/rumpdump
/data/local/rumpdump
sh: /data/local/rumpdump: No such file or directory
sh-3.2# /data/local/romdump
/data/local/romdump
Android ROM dumper v0.82b
(c)2011 Sebastian404
Device : NANO CFW rev84

Creating required files... done.
Opening mtd table... done.
Dumping kernel config... done.
Dumping boot partition... done.
Dumping recovery partition... done.
Dumping system partition... done.
Creating Checksums... done.
Cleaning up... done.
All done.

As you can see, i used the full path of the romdump file
Do get the full path, just drag an drop the file in cmd, and you will get the full path
This is the romdum file that i used http://android.podtwo.com/romdump/romdump_v82b.zip
From what i saw on the internet, you need also root

Perfect, thanks a lot of this!

I've flashed it now and tried to fully restock by flashing the boot.img and system-stock.img, but for some reason I get stuck in a boot loop with Android System Recovery 3e, any ideas how to solve?
