Hi, like the look of this device, has anyone tried Navionics Charts on it? Are they on AppsLib? I tried to look, but need to reg a device to get access!

Charts are available on Android Market, and are suppoesed to run on other devices with this cpu. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

thanks

Yes you can... Check out some posts I spotted over here from a Marine guy getting into Marine apps for tablets.

I use Navionics marine charts on other Android devices, but have been unable to side load them via the sd card (they're not on appslib).

I think the only way is to load Google apps, using the means set out in this forum; I'll try it when it is more foolproof.

Other than the apps problem (and a few teething problems since solved), I'm extremely happy with the tablet; it's ideal for reading the papers and tech sites on the way to work and keep up with email. One of the youtube apps works well and the mp3 search.

regards

Hi Slacker

Thanks so much for feedback...7c out of stock now, Hope it comes back soon.. meanwhile I hope the clever guys can crack the root/google apps thing as a simple mod, then I can see if Navionics will work!!

Thanks again

Neil
