I found the recovery mode (same problem than you got):

- power on device-

- connect to windows using usb-cable

- press reset-button on the back

- phone looks like it's powered off, but windows will ask for qualcomm-driver (so it is NOT powered off, but in recovery mode)

so... there to get the qualcomm driver USB\VID_05C6&PID_900E?

...maybe some samsung device provides the drivers (wave series also uses qualcomm)?

maybe, but it asks for the driver with that name (super one click tells me) and windows says it wants a driver for qualcomm cdma technologies msm.

Before I can try with fastboot I'd need some update.img and a driver for msm7227... anyone?

Edit: I asked Arnova support right now, whether I need to send the device in, or whether they could deliver the driver and the original update.img (they also provide updates, why not original rom?)... let's wait and see.

So no recovery possible from it?

Well, I just called TeVi (the shop I bought it at), they'll replace the device instantly *phew*.
