Hello all

I have an arnova 7c g2 that wont finish booting anymore. not rooted, i just installed some apps.. it ran low on battery, i switched it off, and now it wont finish booting after a full recharge ... it just stays stuck at the android logo screen (which moves... and keeps coming up over and over)

any idea how to unbrick it? I couldnt find anything on the net

Try to hard reset your tablet. There is a pin hole on the back of device. Put paper clip or sharp pencil in that  hole and wait to see if it boots.

I am not sure of the Arnova 7c G2 has a recovery mode and how to activate it, that would help you to reflash the default firmware.

Maybe other A7cG2 users have an idea ?

Hold the paper clip for 15 sec, and let it power on by itself.

Neither of those procedures had any tangible result -- i imagine this is because the 7c g2 is based on another chipset (qualcomm as opposed to rockwell)

i googled all over the net but apparently the 7c g2 doesnt have a recovery procedure... i find this hard to believe.

This is everything I have for the 7CG2.

It has a boot.img and a recovery.img and some other files.  Also in the .zip is a .rar file that also has a different boot.img and recovery.img.  Hopefully one of them will work for you?

These were 2 different ROM dumps that someone sent me a while back.

Bob

yeah it worked. it extracted what it needed but the Recovery.img it created is unusable as the partitions it is getting is getting corrupted during compile.

the error im getting is nothing to do with the boot.img you gave me.
