Good evening, I'm italian, and I have this arnova 7c g2 android tablet.

I tried to install the firmware NANO after installing as you've writed in your guide theADB drivers, then I downloaded the rom from the site, then I put the tablet in fastboot (Vol down plus Power) and I did the recovery as a guide, and then I flashed the rom and then install the image.
I chose to mount a sd 8gb class 10 (the better) for not having problems, I created three primary partitions
: a FAT32 (3500MB)
: a EXT4 (3500MB)
: a EXT4 (462MB what was left)
with partition wizard home edition.

Now at the beginning it had work, I was also run google play (although strangely enough did not make me choose many applications, only a few dozen seemed to be in the market ,for example in free games only one, Megalopolis)

Then I run arctools to be able to solve and I put market version 2.3.3

From that moment on, the tablet has gone mad, he began to send error messages that were missing libraries, I checked that the space of sd is correctly formatted but library missing is everywhere, and I've to continuosly press ok for all messages that continue to popup.

Now I ask you gurus: What you think is the problem?

arctools is not intended to be used on 7cg2
reflash the tablet
write here what apps you don`t see on market so i can check on mine and maybe provide a solution.

Thanks for you interest :)
Reflashed and he continue to bring me this message:

Translated from italian:

"Unespected interruption of the application Google Play Store ( process com.android.vending). Try again."

With adb logcat I've seen that
E/ApplicationContext( 588): Coundn't create directory for SharedPreferences file /data/data/com.noshufou.android.su/shared_prefs/com.noshufou.android.su_preferences.xml

"unable to open database file" Appear some times.

I fear that something doesn't work, especially into the database or cache into the 8gb sd.

Maybe I've to reformat again, because data are stored from the past installation.

I'll try to reformat all again the SD, maybe problem is there.

But before even the SD was empty, the marked have worked bad.

Let's try!

I've reformatted the sd, reflashed the tablet, and again the unespected interruption message have appeared :-(

I don't know why, because I've followed all the steps that the tutorial need:

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-7c-g2-android-firmware-development/nano-cfw-arnova7cg2/

I wonder why when I access into the Google Play market he keep me showing only one or application Megalopolis.

What do you think about this?

I use only the no sd version on which the majority of the apps are available.
It can be an issue raised by a configuration in the boot.img

Ok thanks for your prompt reply :)
Now I will install the no-sd version and I will tell to you what has happened. If I will find that market work I will send a message to nanolx.com with all the logcat and my problem, so maybe other people will not encounter this problem.

Let's try No-SD version :) !

Sorry if I bother you, but I've tried to shutdown, but he keep showing the error, so the tablet don't let me shutdown it.

So I've shutdown the system using adb reboot -p, that have shutdown the system, but now he don't start :-( keep me show the android "that load" logo :-(

How I can shutdown the tablet? Power off button don't work :-(

Ok thanks I've pressed the reset and the device has shutdown.

After that I've reflashed the tablet with nosd recovery and nano-boot, erased the system and installed nano-system as usual.

But the google play market is the same: don't work well (just megalopolis and a few others)

I've tried like before to grab the browser google play and in the sd version I've download and installed ruzzle for example (even that it hang on the startup screen), but in that no sd version nothing, even the download :-( .

Now i will try at least to install the SD with EXT2 filesystem, I hope that work, because if don't there's E*ay that make a good used price, better buy a serious tablet, is not possible that a default functionality like this don't wok :-(

Let's try EXT2 :-) !

Last time news ! I've formatted the SD 8GB and finally the toc of google play appear (i think also because I've restarted the device) and the market work!

But no download (and then I return to the "too-small-cache" problem).

Now I will reformat all for for the science sake, and I will install again the DC2SD version, after first start I will setup wifi, sync background data, sign in my google account, try to open it, megalopolis XD, SHUTDOWN the device, go to market AND in the NANO CFW there's on the second wallpapere of android a big play store widget, if it begin to report last installed news, I won, because with the 8 GB SD I will have the CACHE for installing apps and error will disappear :-) .

If don't work I think that I've to go in google play browser and try to install a free app from there sign to google account from there and then after downloaded the app shutdown the device...

Let's try :-) !

I give up :-( . This tablet is useless, with google demanding too much cache, the nano image is bad packaged, continue to lead into errors.

I prefer sell it and buy a wonderful samsung galaxy tab (even the 7" one), how do you think about this tablet?

And where I can look for restore the most updated original system?

Thank you!

EDIT: Sorry I forgotten to mention that keep freezing into the boot logo, I've also tried to reflash the nano-boot but nothing, adb logcat continue keep a billion of errors, and I NEED the sd version for the CACHE :-(

EDIT 2: Now after a reset he don't bring nothing to the screen ANYMORE! I've tried to put it in fastboot nothing, I've tried to start in normal mode but nothing, maybe is the battery (last time I've seen the indicator showed 32%)?

I will try to charge the battery all the night, just for be sure :-) .

Let's charge! XD

I have the stock firmware available somewhere on mediafire, but you first need to restore your tablet to a nano sd firmware, and then flash the stock via recovery.

Thank you, if you bring me your stock firmware I will happy :-)

However, I've tried again the -nosd version and now I'm testing a functioning google play market, but the sd version work really bad, that will go to mulple crashed after some time.

So I've installed facebook with nosd version, and all work :-)

So you guys maybe can tell me whitch method I can use like app2sd or have a virtual cache that if I extract the sd don't make all tablet crash?

Thanks in advance!
