Am i right in thinking that the system and boot images are the same in all rk29s as i am trying to make a rom for the 9g2 and i think the system and boot images i have previousley downloaded are corrupt

Alex, the 7cG2 is not Rockchip based but Qualcomm MSM7627 800 MHz CPU, which is a totally different beast Wink

by the way, if someone wants to do a proper relase of recovery they can look at the correct key codes under the advanced menu and substitute them in the source tree i will gladly provide (3.5 gigs uncompressed...) i built on an ubuntu 10.04 box

i tested the backup and restore function and it seems to have worked flawlessly; don't try to flash the userdata partition with the userdata.img generated by the recovery, though -- it wont work.  i think it gets exported in a different filesystem, it would be nice to be able to convert them.... mostly because fastboot is more reliable

i hope to have the time to reflash my cyanogenmod port in a couple of days just to try and see if adb logcat provides any clues regarding the boot failure... if you're feeling bored feel free to do it and send me the logcat..

you cant as far as i know... youneed to flash a stock or cfw boot and image and then you can boot and go to settings/info/updates... and then it boots into it
