Starting this thread where i am going to post various notes i come up with while trying to port cyanogen.

I've built a clockwork recovery image that i posted on another thread if you want to try it... im not feeling as adventurous until i have another backup of my stock recovery as i dont fully trust the romdump process... also the fact that you cant apparently start recovery with a keypress at boot and must start it from a running instance of the full UI kind of makes the point moot... bit of pointless to have a clockwork recovery that you cant start if you brick your device, right?

anyway the first problem in porting cyanogenmod is going to understand which proprietary files go where.. so i am posting a list of devices that share the yamato firmware to later see whether they have a similar board.

here goes, list of devices that cyanogen's been ported too and also have the yamato firmware

zte/v9/unzip-files.sh:unzip -j -o ../../../${DEVICE}_update.zip system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw -d ../../../vendor/zte/$DEVICE/proprietary/

zte/blade/unzip-files.sh:unzip -j -o ../../../${DEVICE}_update.zip system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw -d ../../../vendor/zte/$DEVICE/proprietary/

samsung/tass/extract-files.sh: vendor/__MANUFACTURER__/__DEVICE__/proprietary/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw:system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw \\

htc/supersonic/unzip-files.sh:unzip -j -o ../../../${DEVICE}_update.zip system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw -d ../../../vendor/htc/$DEVICE/proprietary

htc/liberty/extract-files.sh:adb pull /system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw ../../../vendor/htc/$DEVICE/proprietary

htc/vision/vision.mk: device/htc/vision/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw:system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw \

htc/bravoc/unzip-files.sh:unzip -j -o ../../../${DEVICE}_update.zip system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw -d ../../../vendor/$MANUFACTURER/$DEVICE/proprietary

htc/saga/unzip-files.sh:unzip -j -o ../../../${DEVICE}_update.zip system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw -d ../../../vendor/$MANUFACTURER/$DEVICE/proprietary

commtiva/z71/device_z71.mk: vendor/commtiva/z71/proprietary/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw:system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw \

htc/espresso/extract-files.sh:adb pull /system/etc/firmware/yamato_pm4.fw ../../../vendor/htc/$DEVICE/proprietary

htc/passion/unzip-files.sh:unzip -j -o ../../../${DEVICE}_update.zip system/etc/firmware/yamato_pfp.fw -d ../../../vendor/$MANUFACTURER/$DEVICE/proprietary

It looks like the zte v9 is the only tablet... all devices are msm7227 ; it might be needed to use the kernel from the auroracode branches... will keep looking

remote object '/system/bin/akmd2' does not exist

remote object '/system/etc/ti_gauge.bqfs' does not exist
remote object '/system/etc/ti_gauge.dffs' does not exist
remote object '/system/lib/libdll.so' does not exist
remote object '/system/lib/libloc.so' does not exist
remote object '/system/lib/libOmxQcelpDec.so' does not exist
remote object '/system/lib/libOmxEvrcDec.so' does not exist

This is the cyanogenmod port for our tablet: http://www.mediafire.com/?dorpdubo5z1cqnk.

It will work as soon as we will have custom working recovery, before that it is not possible to flash this rom 🙁

libloc.so is not present but libloc-rpc.so is ? Maybe this is the problem with localization in the  current CFW build? might have to try reflashing a stock system...

much to my surprise the first build of the msm7627 port of cyanogen completed! Who is brave enough to flash it? I'd do it first but i must find a way to back up my data and cache partitions first because they need to be wiped...

if you know how to do a bitwise copy of /data please let me know.. i'll try later

thanks for testing! how did you start it?

I'll be uploading the boot and system partitions if you're feeling brave.

i spoke too early, not all of /system compiled...

*** No rule to make target `out/target/product/msm7627_fw8918/obj/lib/libaudio.so', needed by `out/target/product/msm7627_fw8918/obj/SHARED_LIBRARIES/libaudioflinger_intermediates/LINKED/libaudioflinger.so'.  Stop.

from what i gather this should be related to the DSP in cyanogen... i'll try and and delete it from the makefile

i'll have to investigate. thhe boot partition compiled though... and so did vpnservices.apk which i what im after..

ok here is the build output:

userdata.img : http://www.mediafire.com/?80843lv09m6igq5 /suppose this must be flashed on data partition, your guess is as good as mine)

system.img : http://www.mediafire.com/?r3q9x4xaeopb7rf

boot.img : http://www.mediafire.com/?kvge0aclbj473n4 (this is the same file as before, i will check for differences but dont expect to find any)

and again recovery.img with non functioning keys. http://www.mediafire.com/?kvge0aclbj473n4

if you're brave enough to test dont forget to wipe your data partition (and maybe flash it with userdata.img)

***WARNING: it doesnt work*** it stays stuck at the "A N D R O I D" screen

these images are only good for extracting bits and pieces (I'm thinking of vpn services)
