Hello,

I´m have bought me a used Arnova 7c G2 which is already rooted.

I wanted to know how I can install a custom rom on our device.

In addition I wanted to know which is the best Rom for the Arnova 7c G2?

I have a couple of mobilephones (T-Mobile Pulse, Huawei Ideos X3, Huawei Ideos X5 and now HTC Desire HD) before and I have installed custom roms on all of them succesfull.

That was very easy, just root the device, place a zipped rom on the SD card and install it with clockword mod recovery or 4Ext touch recovery.

How can I do this with our device? Is it similar?

I have already read the manuls here, but I didn´t understand all of it.

Can someone give me a simple introduction to install a custom rom on a rooted 7c G2?

Best regards,

Herpie

did you read this ?
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-7c-g2-android-firmware-development/how-to-flash-a-rom-on-arnova-1/

At this moment there are only 2 roms on this forum
sethialpha`s rom amd my rom
sethialpha rom can be flashed via fastboot
my rom involves installing a cwm recovery(the same as in sethialpha`s rom) via fastboot and then flashing the rom via cwm recovery (you put the rom on the sd card)

al the methods requieres some basic knowldge about adb/fastboot.

Thanks for your quick answer, Globula_neagra,

But I have no possibility to flash the Arnova with fastboot, because i have no PC.

I can only download a rom in my job.

I there a possibily just to put a rom on the SD card and flash it with CWM or ext4 touch?

The CWM or ext4 touch I can download from the market and install it.

Thank you in advance.

the cwm can be flashed only via fastboot 🙂
this is a custom cwm, and is not provided by the official cwm
