there is an older rockchip flasher, you could try and use that one

Pm admin here, as he had/has a G9 device, he can offer you more advice regarding this issue.
But still usually from what i tried you can pretty much recover the tablet from any state as long as you can get in recovery, on the g10 at least is like this.

You need to connect the tablet to the pc when you start the recovery process.
Download the last firmware from archos, get the tablet in recovery, punt the firmware on the new hardrive
