I can't get the link to work.
I'd like to thank you and all the contributers to Arctablet, this is the first device I have ever owned, including PCs, and I have since bought another 7c G2 on which last week I rooted and installed Seth's rev14 at a local internet cafe. In less than a year I have learnt so much, most from this forum. And to think I only went to buy something I could read books on! I am now in Kenya, travelling on my motorbike, and I thank you all again for the support at Arctablet.

Hi Globula, Your rom is great, fast and clearer status bar. The above mediafire link (essential apps) is still giving me the same error;
File unavailable for transfer,
Distribution of this file has been disabled......?
I tried to post a screenhot here but got; error 105 invalid file type!
I will upload-it on arctablet server in the next days

I am really enjoying using your v3 ROM, and I have made a small mod in system/etc I added ' hosts ' file from Seti's ROM, which stops most of the advertisments. Seti's ROM also has a file ' hosts.txt ' which does not appear to be necessary.
I could not create a home screen file shortcut using ES File Explorer or File Expert. The following link worked for me.
The app Hidden Menus works on the 7c G2. On the v3 ROM some of the hidden menus can also be accessed using the Sense Activities shortcut. This shortcut also gives the option to change the lock screen.
Another advantage of the v3 rom is that apps on sd do not show icons on the home screen on startup until they are available. This prevents a lot of 'Application is not installed on your phone' frustrations if you are in a hurry
I hope that this is useful
I have a problem with bluetooth on v3. All works well except when another device wants to send to me, I get the 'connection reset by peer' error on the sending device, which as I understand is when the receiving device has rejected the transfer. On the receiving device I get nothing. I can receive, if I use OBEX and pick the files I want. This is a lot of fiddling if I just want a picture.
My trials have all been done using small .jpg or .doc files.
I have tried the following;
using Astro, File Expert and File Explorer.
pair and unpair (repeatedly).
uninstall using Root Uninstaller and install a backup from Seti's rom of Bluetooth.apk
Reinstall a full backup of v3.
Reinstall test v3.zip
Install v3 on my other 7c G2 (this is the worst option, if both are running v3, neither will do anything, at least if one is running Rev13b or 14, it will receive)
Clear data on both Bluetooth.apk's
As I only have access to PC's at internet cafes, I am using my two 7c G2's to backup between sd cards.
Where can I look to find the files relating to the status bar message 'Bluetooth share: Incoming file' or can you offer better advice on how to fix? A clue could be in the device name as installed it is BlueZ, when File Explorer tries to send to it, it records the failure as unable to send to AN7CG2. Clearing bluetooth share data does not reset the list of paired devices on either tablet
Well, i think is a problem from the first firmware (stock), i have not touched the Bluetooth, did you had this problem with sethi`s firmware ?
Not that I know of, running 13b friends were able to send me, on my 7c G2, MP3 and jpg, I would first get the message Do you want to pair with this device with the passkey, on pairing I would then get 'Bluetooth share: Incoming file' v3 will pair, but nothing happens after that.
Tomorrow I will try with rev14 on both and let you know
I installed rev14 on both, and it all worked well.
I then reinstalled v3 on one, again it would not accept incoming bluetooth files.
one folder at a time, I deleted the contents and replaced them with files taken fom Seti's rom.
Success, after changing the files in system/etc/bluetooth v3 is accepting incoming files. This is the only folder I changed.
I have no idea why this worked, I could find no difference between the files, except that Seti's files were dated 2012, on v3 as 01 08 2008.
Another of the mysteries of life?
it maybe a thing related with the permissions of the specific files.
Absolutely right. I have been using bluetooth, to transfer my cwm backups to another sd. (rename the file extensions.doc, they will transfer) To confirm the backups were good I reinstalled an unmodified v3. I then changed the all the file permissions in system/etc/bluetooth/ to rw-r--r-- It is now receiving my files.
