OK the 7C G2 is a very different ROM layout.  It looks like kernal is part of boot.img.  I am aware of this type of ROM but have never unpacked one (boot.img) yet or fully know how to.  I am sure I can do it and I have bookmarked the posts that talks about it but it is not going to happen overnight as I have some learning to do to get it right.

FYI you cant flash with this zip you uploaded!  So it is not a backup image.  It is a dumped and depacked system which means I have to figure out how to reassmeble it too....

That is not a full dump.  It only contained Recovery.img and boot.img.  Where is system.img?  I am aware looking at the other dump that kernal is part of boot.img.

Hmm... isn't the 7c g2 root out-of-the-box?

Try this with an unrooted device:

adb usb

adb shell

su

This will work and you get root access (see also: adb root).

For Linux the set-up is in file /etc/udev/rules.d/50-android.rules:

SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="0e79", SYMLINK+="arnova", MODE="0666", OWNER="YOUR_USERNAME"

chmod a+r /etc/udev/rules.d/50-android.rules

/etc/init.d/udev restart
