ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !
Here is an easy way of flashing a custom firmware providing Google Play (formerly Android Market) and full root to the Arnova 7b G3.
Please note that this flashing method is easy to run but includes the same risks as a regular firmware flash. If it goes wrong for some reason and bricks your tablet, the only way to recover it (if the hardware isn't damaged) will be to use Rockchip Flashing tool. In this situation, for those who couldn't get the flashing tool to work, they may get stuck in restoring their tablet.
- Step 1. You need to download and install Arctools from Appslib.
If you don't have Appslib installed, you'll need to download it from here: http://appslib.com/download/index.html
When in Appslib, search for "Arctools", download and install the application.
- Step 2. Within Arctools, go to Firmware tab, select the custom firmware to flash from the listbox (latest is currently version 0.41) please read and understand the warnings and click the checkbox if you agree, then click the Download button. The file download and unpacking should take a few minutes to complete depending on your Internet connection speed. When it's done, you'll be invited to restart your tablet.
- Step 3. After rebooting the tablet, a "Firmware updating" dialog will ask for confirmation to install the package (=flash the firmware) click Install button. The tablet will reboot and install the firmware.
- Step 4. After a few minutes, your tablet will be updated with the custom firmware. Setup your Account on Google Play Store and enjoy !
The following video goes thru all the steps of the on the Arnova 7f G3, the procedure is identical on the Arnova 7b G3.
Thanks to technoboi and SupArnova for their help with the firmware dump and tests.
Enjoy !

Hi Guys! i have rooted my 7B G3 then tried lcd resolution to change my resolution but nothing works then i encountered error "launcher stopped working" so i cannot access my apps drawer because my launcher wont start, what i did is restore my tablet to factory settings using the settings menu. it worked but now i don't have any lockscreen even if i tried to put pattern lock still no lock screen appears.
If I use the arctools and reflash the cumstom firmware and root will that work? Will it not give me any problems if I reflash the custom firmware twice?
Thanks again

You've got an Arnova 7 G3, not a 7b G3.
Arctools support for the the Arnova 7 G3 is in the works, you can check our 7G3 forum for other options.
Cheers.

Hi guys. I need an information. I'll buy an Arnova 7b G3 and I want to install the Google Play Store on it. Can I make this procedure to have the tablet in Italian language?!? Thank you...
Luigi
Hello Luigi,
The procedure and the video are very easy to follow, you should have no problem to run it.
Once your tablet is flashed, you can just change the "Language & input" settings to Italian and have the system running in your favorite language.
Cheers.
