hy, new to the board - my name is shq (not in R/L, of course ^^), and since 3 weeks i'm a proud (more or less 🙂 ) owner of arnovas 7b g2 DT. first thing i've done after unboxing is looking for root, found it on the appslib, its called arctools. also installs play and other google apps, works fine so far. but the problem is, 256 mb memory for apps ist not enough, as you know. so i start searching the web for other firmwares. thats how i get here 😉
so, long story short, is there any way to flash the morkamod for 7g2 on my 7b g2 DT ? the opportunity to have 2 gigs for apps sounds incredible. i've searched a few topics in this forum, but i cant figure out if its safe to flash.
if this firmware doesnt work, is there any way to get more space for apps ? app2sd works fine, but not on all apps...

Hello shq,
The custom firmware you got thru Arctools has some systems limitations and cannot provide a huge storage space for applications. We'll try to provide an improved custom firmware with more space for apps and full root for /system, this will probably be done thru our kitchen scripts and will be announced in the forum. There is also maybe the possibility of adapting the Android 4.0 ICS firmware from the Child Pad, if the hardware is very similar to the Arnova 7bG2 DT, we'll have a look at that too...
Finally, regarding Morkamod, it has been adapted to many Arnova G2 devices but there is no 7bG2 DT release yet, maybe Morka will make one if he has time and if there is enough demand for it... No need to try Arnova 7G2 or other versions, they won't work as the device hardware is quite different.

thanks for your quick reply - so i guess i have to wait a little bit longer 😉 1GB app-space should be enough, in my oppinion. but 2 GB are better ^^
ICS would be pretty nice, i have updated my HTC sensation xe up to 4.03 and it works fine.
