Guys, I have 5 testers already checking the Google Play install procedure, that should be enough for now.
If no major problems are reported, the procedure will be enabled to everybody in the next hours...
Hello. I do not see anything posted to this thread since last week. On Friday afternoon (07/20) I reset my tablet, reinstalled ArcTools, as saw that the option Google Play with the Arnova 7 G3 was now showing (where it had not before). I went ahead and installed it, and was happy to see that it did in fact install. After the reboot, all the "Google" apps were there. Added my Google account, and had Gmail, Maps, and Play all working. I even then did another "reset to Factory" on my tablet again (being curious), and all the Google play apps remained. I did not have to reistall anything, and everything worked the same as the initail install. The ONLY issue I saw was with the syncing of the com.android.calendar. It is showing an exclaimation point next to the check mark. The other three parts (Sync Browser, Sync Contacts, and Sync Gmail) were all syncing fine. Minor, minor issue, at least me me. Not sure if something is wrong with my ArcTools account where I'm not seeing this thread updated, but just wanted to let you know what I had seen. Thanks.
I can't call up any issues. I've been on a downloading spree and now that I've managed to test everything properly, I can't report anything back as regards issues because there are none?
BBC iPlayer works brilliantly, the video issue I had with skype? hell, that's GONE! It takes a moment or two for the image to settle, but that's about it... proving the one in the appslib is no good whatsoever as it's outdated.
Still the minor issue with flash, but that's nothing. And it still thinks I'm GMT+2. I'm over that - set the time manually...
Used the satnav on my phone rather than my tablet last week because it couldn't find my location and that's the only thing that hasn't worked, haha!
Bar from that - nothing to report. I'm happy. Everything works as I need it to.

Just to say thanks for the Google Play app. I bought an Arnova 7 G3 last Friday (never having owned a tablet or anything similar before) but followed the video instructions yesterday and installed Google Play, everything works perfectly. It even cured a problem I had with Flash not working (had downloaded the Flash 11.1 updated which corrupted the original loaded version) but I unistalled this and reinstalled it from Google and it works fine now. If anyone is worried about installing this app don't be it works great.....I've just added the Kindle app from Google Play and have been downloading books from Amazon.
It's a fantastic tablet for the price!
