No problem, you can still go back at anytime. That's the important thing. Good Luck. I no longer have my AN 7 G3 but will still monitor this forum and help if I can.

You need to flash elvish firmware for Hyundai A7, as explained earlier in this post:

Download here: http://androidtabletfirmware.com/firmware_details=MzQ2LTEzMzM4MjMwMzE3Nzg5NDU2Nzk0

or thru our mirror: elvish-for-a7-0.3.zip

You'll need LiveSuit to flash this firmware:

Download: LiveSuitPack_v1.07.zip

This elvish firmware is OK the only problem is the accelerometer not working. From there, you can always flash back the default Arnova 7 G3 firmware from the stock firmware dump that ninjaduck / ALD3 have provided, see earlier pages in this thread.

sync is sinchronizing the the data from the what you copy to where you copy and makes it identical and also ensures that everything was copied well.

Unfortunately, this can't be flashed with LiveSuit, you need to restore each partition with shell commands as mentioned earlier in this thread.

If you want a LiveSuit option, you can restore Elvish firmware, that works reasonably well on the 7 G3 (it has some incompatibilities with the accelerometer)

Ok, I'v flashed elvish-for-a7-0.3.zip and it's working well except for the screen rotation. But it's working better than it was. Thanks for the reply admin.

today i saw this page:
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/archos-tablet/arnova-kernel-sources-released-for-nearly-all-g3-models-10g2/
and there is "GPL release for AN7G3"
is this page new or old? and does it contain the right image for our tablet, anybody tried it? and how to use it?

Kernel sources will be useful if anyone wants to do further development / bug fixes. But we're already running that kernel so there's nothing to "try".

Hi Guys,

I've just screwed my AN7G3 up by uninstalling BusyBox!! I know silly me, so I'm going to attempt to re-flash it with the link on the first thread using my wife's Windows Netbook later this week. I know I could do it with my Linux PC. but there's too much to edit config files etc.

The only question I have, well 2, is how long will the process take? and the other question is has anyone had any success with making a single file for the ROM? I'll keep you all posted with how it goes, and the only reason I've chosen the stock ROM is I'd like the auto rotate etc to work as I play a few games, and view websites.

PC - Zotac Z-Box AD01 with Ubuntu 12.04LTS

The same amount of configuration is needed on both OS-es
You need adb in linux, and also on windows, but bare in mind that Linux handles better the adb drivers then Windows, especially Windows Vista which is crap in terms of drivers :) .

It should take 10-20minutes

A script could have been made to make the flashing more easier.
