I have a usb hub. what I did is... I put USB hub input to Charger's plug output. Then I put Tablet's cable to USB hub and the other mini usb side in tablet.... I have checked...the battery charging percentage is increasing fine.

Now...I want to put A USB flash drive in that USB Hub and I did but tablet aint detecting it...in fact the USB Flash drive's indicator light is not on.

So...want to know...is it the HUB or the tablet is not detecting the flash drive same time?

If I understand right, you want to connect an USB hub to your tablet.

This seems to be currently not supported by most (Arnova) tablets, not sure about the exact reason but it's probably related to the power consumption.

yes. I want to connect USB hub to the tablet. Its being charging fine though....but the flash drive light is not ON...so I guess...u rightly pointed out that power consumption maybe the problem...Do u think I should try another Hub?

The input of the HUB is in the plug...

You can try another hub, but I haven't yet heard of working USB hub on a tablet Confused

I don't think so. I got a 'Plugable' brand ( http://www.plugable.com ) 7port ac powered (3amp) usb hub for $20 from Amazon, works great. It provides power to any usb devices (flashdrive, mouse/keyboard, external hard drive, etc.). While tablet will not charge when usb is activated. Must use the tablet's battery power while using otg cable from tablet's usp port connected to hub's 'usb in' port. Charges normally from one of the 7 usb ports, of course. Bummer that it doesn't charge and access usb periphials at the same time. Running usb hub through a normal computer might work though.
You must use an 'OTG USB Cable', not a normal usb cable. From Amazon I got a couple, only $2 each, they must have an extra pin or something, I dunno, it does work though. It has a male micro usb on one end (which plugs into tablet's usb port) and a female usb plug on the other. I can plug a flashdrive directly into the otg cable and access the flashdrive's contents with the 'File Manager HD' apk found free in google's Playstore.

For an S&M explanation, one device is master while the other is slave. The device receiving power is slave. A hub 'may' work while operating off tablet battery if there are drivers to support it. (Whipcrack)Yell
