There's probably an impact of the filesystem on the sdcard as well, not sure how FAT32 compares with ext3...

Thanks for the information on speed, I'm running a class 4 32gb micro sd and I knew that the apks seemed faster. Good to know.
Lohtse are you good now? Was out shopping, I have both vold files as I was afraid I might screw up. Saved them bow on my 2.12gb extsd 🙂

yep got it sorted thanks to admin...

what am not sure about is why my backed up file didn't work!!!! I always back up the files I mod to restore via androidcommander if needed but when I restored it it still wouldn't work....The one uploaded by admin worked perfectly

now to try and mod the files again and see what happeds....

Did you get ES set? Go to setting and check UP TO ROOT, then down father check ROOT EXPLORER. Wait for it to get superuser permission and then check MOUNT FILE SYSTEM. That's All

It should work fine as I saw this for an entirely different device and adapted it to An7g3. I would download the original vold file that admin posted and the altered vold that I posted. Compare the original to your vold file, see if they are pretty much the same. If you upload a copy of your vold file, I will take a look. Just be sure to make it clear that it is the 7D 4GB. If you do change your vold file, MAKE SURE TO SAVE a copy before changing it. I would save it is on internal sd, in case your device won't boot. Then you should be able to replace the altered vold with something like Android Commander, should you have a problem. If all works fine, then save a copymof the altered vold also as just replacing with original and reboot will have you back stock.

Have you installed superuser and busy box from the Google Play market? If not ,that's your problem. ES file explorer looks for them when you check Root Explorer. Also must give permission to Allow when superuser asks.

Sent you a PM check it. I didn't ask you one big question. Is your tablet Rooted? The AN 7 G3 is right out of the box. Superuser and Busybox will not work with out root....neither will ES File Explorer

The Arnova 7D G3 is blocked on root acces. standaard out off the box.

If you change or just copy the altered .vold file posted in this thread then device will read micro ad sd card for internal and your internal 2gig will be your external sd card. That is the reason for changing, my AN7G3 now has an internal sd card of 32 gig and external sd card of 2 gig. Check this entire thread and download the original and altered VOLD FILE POSTED then all you have to do is copy and paste to change.
