Hi,
I have a bricked Arnova 7 g3 (It keeps displaying the Arnova logo on boot forever). I've read the forums and I've found the solution is flash it with Elvish ROM and back again with the factory dump.
I've search the Elvish ROM files everywhere but I'm not able to find it. Anyone can show me where it is?
Thanks!

OH, well, I found the rom here: http://www.flashmyandroid.com
But unfortunately, only result with Livesuit was a garbage screen. Apparently the dump was ok and the screen acts normaly (it turns on and off normally, I mean), but it shows only little white and gray lines, with very fine colors added (very pleasant indeed), but nothing more.
I think I've injected the wrong image or something, I need a factory Arnova 7 G3 img for inject with Livesuit, any place where I can find that? Or any tested working rom that I can flash with Livesuit for that matter?
Thanks!

if you have a working adb, you can re-flash the tablet using ninjaduck system dump., which is from a 7 G3

Thank you for the suggestion, globula_neagra, but for using adb I need a working tablet, right? It's imperative that I flash a ROM (anyone which works) with Livesuit first, so my plan is flash any Allwinner A10 ROM and then use adb for restore the factory firmware.
So far, Elvish 0.4 has failed, I can't find Elvish 0.3 anywhere. I'll try one of the factory Hyundai A7 ROMs and see what happen. I think they're in chinese, but whaterver, if it works I can guess my path, I think...

Last time when I fixed a 7 G3 (which was the first time and it took me 3 hours till I found a proper way), I used the recovery mode, in recovery mode the ADB connection should be enabled by default, is only a matter of installing the drivers and pushing the firmware correctly towards the tablet.
Here is the elvish archive that should work on the Arnova 7 G3: elvish-for-a7-0.3.zip
It's coming from my archive, it should be right file, but I had no occasion to test it again.
Cheers.

OK!! Thanks again!!! I have already put the Hyundai A7 ROM in my Arnova and that worked fine. I'll use then adb for passing ninjaduck dump as you suggested. I'll post the results here.
EDIT: I'll try the elvish rom that The admin provided (thanks!!), just for the sake of trying, may be I'll keep it, or I restore ninjaduck dump, I'll tell later.

That's it. It's working. Thank you guys!!!I've put Elvish 0.3 rom which works fine except for the known rotation problem, and then I put ninjaduck dump, then reset factory data and voilà, all is fine.
Could you link to all the different files you used and a quick 'How to' on what you did to fix it please ?

Bump
Just a quick couple of lines to explain simply the steps, I'm experienced in flashing my own tablet, but never flashed the Arnova before, thanks

Sorry Detection, I hasn't see your request.
Well, I'll try to remember all my steps.
First, I flashed Elvish 0.3 ROM through Livesuit.
The file is the one posted by admin: Elvish 0.3
You can download Livesuit from a bunch of sources, the one that works for me is this
There you have a good tutorial of using Livesuit: How to Upgrade your Hyundai A7 Firmware
Once you have your device working, you can now proceed with the adb or command line method for replacing your rom with the ninjaduck arnova images, as is described here (from point 12).
If you don't know how to use adb, there is a guide here in the forums, but I can't find it. You can find an adb shell use guide in the SDK documentation or anywhere in the internet, I think...
Hope that helps!

Thanks very much for that, I bought my Dad the Arnova 7 G3 for last Xmas and he's been experiencing random reboots fairly frequently, he's tried factory resetting it, which appeared to cure it for a while, he kept an eye on apps he was installing in case one of them was the culprit, and tried removing the external SDCard which was a workaround when I was running ICS on my tablet, but it continues to rear its head, and apparently this time Netflix has stopped working too, which could very well be an update to the app itself
Mainly trying to fix the rebooting problem as he uses it for giving presentation type teaching at work connected to a projector, so was hoping that a new firmware might fix it, if it is newer than the one he has running atm, unsure if you can update the firmware officially ?
The ROM I'm using on my tablet (Not the G3) runs the CPU minimum frequency at 312MHz instead of 216MHz which cures the rebooting problem, so I was hoping to try that on Monday when he gets here
Will apps like SetCPU work with the G3 do you know ?
Appreciate the guide, thanks again
