FYI Manual installed Google Play 3.5.1.9 after setting up Google Play and update worked fine. Just checked and Google has updated Play to 3.7.1.3.
Did it auto update or did you do it manually ?

I first nstalled lohtse ics.zip and then manually updated Google Play to 3.5.19. Then noticed Play Auto updated when I opened it 2 days later to 3.7.1.3, so then I checked my Galaxy Tab and it was also on 3.7..3 also.
Current devices.....Nabi 2, Nexus 7 32G, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 7+, Galaxy S2 Skyrocket AT&T 4G, Galaxy 8.9 AT&T 4G

HELP!!!
I installed the google play and market thing by following advice and copying files from post number 55 of this thread as suggested by others but now the internet browser keeps closing... what should I do? I never in a million years thought this would be *such* a nightmare!

download dolphin browser on market, its better than stock browser and not crashing

If you are using Chrome browser then previous versions will force close although it's recently been updated and is now out of beta and seems almost usable. I've not had any issues using the stock Android browser.

Thanks for the replies. It was just whatever internet browser was on there in the first place 
I have downloaded Dolphin which has worked ok - I just don't understand why it would do it? Or perhaps I don't need to understand?!
Another question... I tried to load the games on the cbeebies website for my son and they wouldn't play - why would this be?
Sorry you must think I am really quite backward!! 
I don't own an iPhone or any sort of flash phone with android, naively I thought the tablet was a bit like a little laptop!

QUESTION....... Do you have flash player installed? I went to your cbeebie site and played the games wity no problem. Also have you tried a reset/factory restore from within Settings/backup&reset

I've had my Arnova 7G3 about a week. I did not know that flash would work if I did a factory reset. I shall attempt that before I do anything else.
I'm desperately in need of gapps. more choice? also, skype. I did install it, but, the video looks horrendous from the other persons perspective - seen a screenshot, er.. no!
I think at some point, when it's more readily available and if it's looking more favourable, I'll either be wanting to get Jelly Bean on this or take it down a notch to Gingerbread.
As it is, I've only had this a week.
I do like the fact that connectivity wise, it works flawlessly with my wireless router. My current android phone is a Samsung, running Froyo(2.3) and yeah, do wish now I'd hung on a little longer to get more for less money *lol* 😉
But the advantages of being able to configure and set up a VPN are good between the two (aww, it's almost love, but not quite!)
So, I guess I'm after some sort of hand holding and waiting for some sort of 'fix' or minor upgrade? I don't know... either way, I do like this tablet
If anyone wants to shed a light my way, please do. I'm more thingied towards PCs and laptops.

If you feel a little adventurous and want to try to get Google Play, I have an option for you. It's a bit late for tonight, but I'll be around if you want to give it a try this week-end.

If I knew more about androids than I currently do, then it would've been a resounding 'hell YEAH!' from me.
But if this fix can address the issue of flash not updating and some general quirkiness, such as video selection asking if I'd like to continue or watch over, then I'd go for it. (And no idea why, but it assumes I'm GMT+2 not BST, being as I am, nearer to Manchester than any other place on earth right now.)
As it is, my mother is currently watching 'Big Buck Bunny'. So I have no chance :-p

Hi, i bought this tablet for my 6 year old kid, he wants it just for games, i've dowloaded some games, everything working fine except the accelerometer... for some odd reason racing games that use it just go crazy, tilting the tablet up makes the car move to the left, moving it to the left does nothing, same happens with this game called "Labytinth" were you control a ball evading holes and trying to exit the level... the ball just goes bouncing in all directions.
It's on factory settings, Adnroid 4.0 nothing flashed, it is just as i got it from Microcenter.
Any idea of how to solve this problem?

I think I'm starting a trend. Two more people I know and at least one other person has since bought a tablet... right now though, I'm sat here with a virgin 7G3 getting it all app'd and ready for another friend.
Want the scary bit? I remembered what to do from updating my own tablet...
without looking.
There now follows a happy app downloading spree............................

2) busybox cp [apkLocation]/*.apk /system/app/ and busybox cp [libLocation]/*.so /system/lib/
4) chmod 644 /system/app/* and chmod 644 /system/lib/*
Do not chmod 644 in /system/lib/
you will loose the exicution bits on the Dirs in /system/lib stopping your tablet from booting
I fixed this with adb
my computor > adb shell
su
chmod 755 /system/lib/<OffendingDirs>

Tested on the Arnova 7C G3 ?...Does not Work.
Every apk install, with exception of googleTTS.apk. This one fails
Still managed to add My Gmail account...but then :
Market Was Interrupted..and shuts down the app.
I' think I will return this tablet..In my case, without market..it's useless
