Good day Admin! what is the most stable and the best custom firmware for arnova 7 g2? I see different custom firmwares here and I have no idea about the performance of each firmwares. can you give me a comparison and the pro's and con's of each firmware? one thing for sure is I want a permanent root on my 7 G2. thank you

I find Fenice57 firmware pretty good, it has a lot of new features (Bluetooth, ext4, CIFS...) over the stock firmware.

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featured/arnova-7-g2-firmware-root-market-3g-ntfs-bluetooth-cifs/

It provides a disk performance increase over stock as the filesystem is now ext4.

With it you will have a full permanent root and read/write access to /system.

Fenice57 is a reliable dev. and his firmware release is totally stable. So far, I used it for a short time as I don't use my 7G2 as much my 10G2 but I found no problem.

If you happen to brick the device, it's always possible to go back to the stock firmware (Arnova did publish it) with Rockchip flashing tool.

If for example, I had a temporary root on my device and transfer my apps on SD (ex. adobe flash player) when I reboot my system, will it still be on the SD card? or it will have an error reading it? 🙂
