Hi,
Â
I just flashed the new rom on my wife's device and it feels that the tablet is running much faster. However, I can't get Youtube to install. The search on the PlayStore does not give youtube as the application and if I try to install from the web, it reports that the application is not compatible with my device.
Â
Any help would be appreciated,
Mire
Hello Mire,
You can try the Market fix (do it many times if needed) so you see more applications in Android Market/ Google Play.

Hi there,
Â
i tried this with the Upgrader on a 7e G2 - Result: everthing seems ok, but the reader doesnt comes up with the recovery-mode.
It doesnt either responds on anything!
Â
So i have to use the rockflash-utility to get back the original firmware and os. But this way i still havent access to the market.
Â
What is wrong about it? Is there a way to get market support on the 7e G2 ? In the article is mentioned, that " you can upgrade if you have upgraded already to fenice-firmware ... or you have to merge it with an other firmare ..."
I havent a fenice-firmware yet and the link to the "to be merged"-firmware isnt in the article ...
Â
help qould be nice! 🙂

Hi I was just wondering if anyone has the build.prop file from this rom, deleted my .bak by accident after making few changes to the .prop and have instability issues now, but dont have the knowhow to see where within the .prop that is causing the issues. If someone could just copy and paste here that would be great 🙂

There you go, build.prop from fenice57_Firmware_Arnova_7G2_V3.1.zip firmware.

x Fenice57
I've posted this in an old italian forum, I'll try to ransalate it...
login as:Â rootÂ
SSHDroid
Use ' root ' on rooted devices otherwise any username works
/data/data/berserker.android.apps.sshdroid/home # lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0a5c:4500
Grazie anticipatamente a chiunque vorrĂ rispondermi e buona giornata a tutti...
🙂

Hi Fenice, first af all I'll give you my compliments for your good work, I'm the happy owner of an Arnova 7G2 and, after some months I've decided to pass to your ROM.
After the compliments I'have a question for you, I've a Trust bluetotth adapter, but my tablet does not recognize it, I download SSHDroid, and with Putty I'm connect to the tablet and the lsusb command result is:
login as:Â rootÂ
SSHDroid
Use ' root ' on rooted devices otherwise any username works
/data/data/berserker.android.apps.sshdroid/home # lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0a5c:4500
/data/data/berserker.android.apps.sshdroid/home
well we know that my adapter has no the ID 0a12:0001.
After many research, and if it's possible I want your support, I've found another adapter, it's the Lindy 52203, and form what I read it will be compatible wit the above ID, you think it's possible, and in alternative what brand and what model can I buy, or can I add the driver of my adapter and how.
Thank you and have a nice day to all...
🙂
I believe only Bluetooth adapters with CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) chipset are supported, I don't know if it's the case for the one you have or you plan to buy.
I'm interested in putting Bluetooth dongle support in custom firmwares for other tablets so I should have a closer look on the subject in a few weeks.
Â
I'm not sure you'll get an answer from fenice57 on the forum, he has been away for a while...
Â
Cheers.

Hopefully someone may be able to help me out here. I've flashed this firmware on my Arnova 7 G2 and I'm trying to get the Bluetooth portion working. I've purchased a USB OTG cable and have connected a USB flash drive to it and the Arnova recognizes it, so I believe that the cable is working fine.
I bought a USB Bluetooth adapter based on the CSR chipset. I have downloaded usbview.exe and it does match the information provided earlier in this thread for a supported Bluetooth adapter. I have plugged it into my desktop and it recognizes the Bluetooth adapter without issue.
When I plug it into the USB OTG cable nothing happens. I get no light on the Bluetooth adapter like I do in my desktop. I've turned off USB debugging, tried with and without Mock Locations and turned off WiFi. Nothing seems to be working. I did NOT use the dongle from Amazon as they wouldn't ship it without purchasing $25 of stuff. I've got another USB OTG cable on the way to see if that makes a difference.
Are there any tips/tricks for getting a Bluetooth adapter working? Is there a way to tell if the Arnova is even seeing the adapter but it just isn't working properly (similar to device manager in Windows)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Â
Thanks
You can have a look on this page and the video below, the firmware and device are different, but knowing it uses similar kernel modules it should work the same way.
