im not sure what you mean
i checked cyanogen changelog and it seems it has been added long ago
do you mean it does not work well with this particular port?
or that it does not work well in cyanogen?

i see but then what would that be in the changelog:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/CyanogenMod_3_Changelog#3.9.1
"UNTESTED: ad-hoc wifi support, usb ethernet support"
its version 7 now so i thought its not an issue anymore

could you elaborate on that so that i could have a better picture of whats in near future?
is that missing module easy to add or is it something that may never happen?

i thought since it was reported that archos has an update with such functionality then it should be easy to have the same for the arnovas as well

please
read first what you can do to CynogenMod

http://androtab.info/cyanogenmod/rockchip/

And this is the answer for my question about Arnova 7G2 problems:

Currently we don't have time and dev thread for RK2918 tablet. sorry.

I'm recompiling any kernel modules that are missing and time is needed

Archos and Arnova aren't engineered by the same team and do not seem to share code or functionnality.

Most Archos products are based on TI OMAP platform and they have developed a great video player application, memory optimizations on Android, along with specific modules such as the USB Ethernet or 3G Stick.

Arnova seem to ship devices based on a quite standard Rockchip platform. The only exception I could find would be Archos 3G dongle support.

If you like our web site, applications and firmwares, feel free to support our site. Donations are used to pay the bills for our server hosting costs, development tools and purchase new tablets to support.

I'm new to the forum and not as tech savvy as all of you apparently are.  I was able to flash my 7G2 with this firmware and everything seems to work just fine.  Many of the apps were over my head and not useful.  I was unable to connect to my bluetooth device, therefore the GPS app didn't work.  NTFS support, Open VPN, and CIFS didn't do anything for me either.  I am happy to have access to Market and feel satisfied that I was able complete the upgrade.  Thanks to all of you for the work you put in.  Just curious, is this your hobby?  Do you program for a living?Smile

Ive been using your custom firmware for a bit now and love it 😀 I was just curious about something. When I want to use my bluetooth adaptor, I have to power my device off, plug in my usb adaptor, then my bluetooth dongle, then power on the device. So far it is the only USB device I have to do that with. If I try to plug it in while the tablet is running, I can't enable bluetooth. My USB mouse I can plug in and it runs instantly, no reset. Is that a firmware thing, or do you think its my dongle?
