Hello,
Â
This thread seemed appropriate to post a question/problem about one particular problem, which occurred after I installed the new ROM from fenice57 (nevertheless an excellent job by him)
Â
Some apps, which use a fixed/locked “portrait” screen position (for example – a game “ Air Penguin” or “aTilt 3D Labyrinth (while playing, not in the menu)) are now “up-side down” – the bottom of the app is now on the side of the tablet, where the camera is. Not much of a problem to look or to hold the tablet, but the in-game movements, controlled by the accelerometer are now inverted (and some apps doesn’t let you manually invert the x,y, axis). As a quick search in the android settings did not find a way to adjust the accelerometer, so my question – is this “inconvenience” a result of the new ROM? (as the Arnova stock android didn’t have this problem)
Â
Thank you in advance for your replies
Â
P.S. It seems that Settings>Display>Brightness bar does not have any direct influence to the actual brightness of the screen   Â
I don't think it's the custom ROM. I had this from the day I bought my G2.

Maybe you bought your device not so long ago, when the pre-installed firmware was already with the firmware update from arnovatech.com, as somewhere in the forum I have read that someone had the "app upside down" problem after the update.
But mine stock firmware did not have this problem before the flash/custom ROM (or maybe the accelerometer had automatically adjusted, as there ware no problems (invert axis) playing the same game, which now has the problem. Â

Hello guys again,
Â
As in the thread ( Â http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-7-g2/arnova-7g2-firmware-2011-12-13-update-available/Â ) post #17Â

there's a big problem i play hyperjump and am shock it terns upside down in default portrait position
did someone notice it my friend and i have the same problem its a 7 g2 and blaming why did we upgrade
the version…….
Â
I can only assume that judging by the used he thread , he updated stock android firmware with the update from arctablet.com and ran in the same problem as me - upside down screen with inconvenience of inverted accelerometer axis. So in result - it's the fault of the update, as the un-updated firmware was fine.
What's more, I flashed my device back to firmware from arnovatech.com (the update) with RockchipBatchTool and it confirmed the suspicion - "Air Penguin" is upside down with inverted accelerometer and brightness bar does not have any noticeable effect.
If you, fenice57, made/upgraded your custom ROM based on the Arnova update, the problem could be easy to determine - faulty Arnava update. But how difficult would it be to find the solution?

Fenice57
This ROM looks really nice and well done for getting so far with the 7G2. I got a couple of questions before I try this ROM.Â
Â
1. I'm currently using the Finless rooted ROM so does the lack of CPU scaling/batter drain issue also affect his ROM and therefore, I guess, the original Arnova firmware update? Or is it just specific to your version?  Personally, I hadn't really noticed worse battery drain with the Finless ROM than with the original stock firmware.
Â
2. I take it that i'd need to flash your fulll ROM then add the latest update seperately, correct?
Â
One other thing, on two occasions my 7G2 has locked up while being used when the tablet seems to have run out of battery and is trying to auto-shutdown. After recharging, the unit refuses to reboot completely, either just a black screen or only getting to Arnova logo before turning off. This happened on both original stock firmware and the Finless ROM, anyone else had this or could my unit have a fault? Â Â
Â
Many thanks, and looking forward for the CPU scaling (and hopefully overclocking) issue to be sorted! Â

Thanks
Now I'm working to import official CynogenMod 7.2.
I've created a correct boot.img and system.img and wifi, bluetooth, cifs, ntfs works fine.
Gsesor works fine and with this rom is possible flip accelerometer settings.
I've created a correct bluid.prop for speedy system.
Don't work audio and camera.
See tuned
