Hi all~

I recently dived into the budget tablet market and picked up myself this lovely little tablet without breaking the bank. I am quite happy with this gadget, and have already rooted the device thanks to Finless's Custom ROM. Customised with Go Launcher I then proceeded to setup the lock screen to protect my tablet from those little eyes else where in the house. Unfortunately, out of the box, that option does not exist. So I installed Go Locker which worked fine, but only displayed in portrait mode which was kinda silly as I mostly use the device in landscape mode. After doing a bit of searching, I found Widget Locker which is a fully customisable lock screen which supports both landscape and portrait. However, unlike Go Locker, Widget Locker lacks it's own pin/pattern lock which means I can't lock the device with a pin code as a default method doesn't exist!

tl;dr

Is there a way of forcing this tablet to use a pin/pattern? Preferably using WidgetLocker or a lockscreen capable of displaying in Landscape?

Thank you.

Nice, I'll try it now and let you know~

Edit: Ok tried the free version as I don't want to purchase anything yet. Doesn't seem to support lanscape lockscreens from what I've played with at the moment, unless you know where that option is. Support for landscape and security is what I'm looking for :/

Also if your into Go Launcher, install the Go Locker tool.  Doesnt have as nice a features as Lockbot but works well with Go Launcher.

Ok, I understand now that stock android 2.3 doesn't have lockscreen settings. Having immediately rooted and cyanogen'd my phone i was under the impression it would. I had never actually sat down with the stock rom. So unless there is a working rom, i dont think this will happen any time soon, I wont be seeing any proper security settings. However i do hope that someone would maybe consider ICS running on this tablet, maybe possible?

Thank you for the suggestions though.

Ics isn't worth it until rockchip releases drivers for hardware acceleration. Developing ics in 2d is pointless
