Hi!

I've installed this rom and I tried to install viber.

market showed that this tablet cant download so I did download from here: http://helpme.viber.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/100/0/cant-download-from-android-market

When I open de .apk with file manager it looks like the app were installing, but after a few seconds a message appear telling "not installed"...

well I tried everything, the last thing was with adb commands and I got a message telling that a library is missing...

looking for an answer I found viber 2.0, and I succesfully installed this version, but it haven't images support and can´t do phone calls trough the net to people who have viber 2.1.

well, I don´t know if anyone could help me finding that misterious missed library.

thanks in advance 🙂

Just tried to install Viber 2.1, from logcat, you see the reason it doesn't install:

E/PackageManager( 90): Package com.viber.voip requires unavailable shared library com.google.android.maps; failing!

Will have to check in this direction...

I found that:

http://www.callum-macdonald.com/2011/02/06/missing-com-google-android-maps/

Which fixes the problem, well at least Viber installs, I haven't tested further.

The procedure on this web page needs some changes to work on our setup.

You can use Gapps from CM7: http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip

Then copy that file on the Arnova 7G2: /system/etc/permissions/com.google.android.maps.xml

You'll need to use the command line with adb push/shell or use an application such as Root explorer or another advanced file explorer to access /system.

Cheers.
