Finally some release notes. Checked and they're providing it for the other firmwares as well.

if I can mount system.img then I will root this baby!

ok so i have an AN7b g2, supposedly the only difference between it and the 7 g2, is mine has a resistive touchscreen. so i downloaded the update.img, saved to root, turned off usb storage mode, gives me an error about invalid firmware image, would i like to delete it. anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Well the fact that they are different in the slightesst way makes the difference if they are this similar then it might only meaan the slightest ajustment to the fw to allowit to run on yours however as there is no official package or rom dump to fall back oni dong suggest doing it

Uploading my rooted firmware now.  Stay tuned for the post!

The 7v G2 is a different tablet.  Yes it maybe only the different touch screen but it's ID wont be the same as the 7 G2 and thats why the recovery system is rejecting the update.img!!!

This was the same issue with the 10b G2 abd the 10 G2.  Different kernal drivers for the screen.

You 7c guys DO NOT FLASH MY ROOTED ROM!  You will have a non-working screen forever until Arnova comes out with a update.img for the 7c to reflash.  PERIOD!  A guy with a 10b G2 flashed my 10 G2 firmware and that is exactly waht happened to him.  It booted but the touch screen would not work and he could not get past calibration loop!

Hi, I have a Arnova 7 G2 which has Market Gmail etc working. Just wondering if it will still have Market etc after flashing with firmware update from Arnova?

As a beginner at this - how can I tell I have installed new firmware? Have I just downloaded it and not installed it? No message on screen.

You probably have copied the firmware to the wrong place, it should be in the root directory when the drive is mounted on your computer.
