First just wanted to thank you for your support.

Adding Bluetooth for RK2918 tablets running Android 4 (ICS) or 4.1 (JB) such as the Arnova 7 G2 is in the works. We are not there yet, but will hopefully make it run like it does on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. You will need a BT dongle based on CSR chipset.

We'll post updates here in the forum and on our blog when we have something ready to test.

Cheers.

Thank you for your reply!!! I'll try to get a CSR Dongle in a store... If I can't find it, I'll purchase on the net. ^^

No need to rush, I'd say that you better wait until we have something working before buying the dongle.

The keyboard admits micro usb interface too, but I have tried with Micro USB to USB -> USB to USB OTG -> USB OTG to Micro USB and it doesn't work. But I don't know if it works using a direct-cable MicroUSB->MicroUSB :(

I tried your procedure, it works until starting of download firmware, then flashing procedure stops with this log message

11:49:36 859 <Layer 6-2> Download Firmware Start
11:49:51 968 <LAYER 6-2> ERROR:RKA_File_Download-->RKU_WriteLBA failed,Written(0),RetCode(-3)
11:49:51 968 <LAYER 6-2> ERROR:DownloadImage-->RKA_File_Download failed(kernel)
11:49:51 968 <Layer 6-2> Download Firmware Fail

I don't know what does mean RETCODE (-3) and if I have a kernel incompatible

After brick the system, I flashed original firmware and it was ok.

My tablet is ARNOVA 7 G2 (ver. android 2.3.1. - Kernel 2.6.32.27 - Build 1.1.1.GingerBread.Eng.root.20111213.114505), I don't know if it is a capacitive model. It is "3Gready" and in this moment it has a SD Card of 16 GB.

Could you help me ?

Best regards, gls

Can you try again to flash the custom firmware ?

Which file did you use for the original firmware ?

Hi everyone !

This firmware works great for me ! I just have some issue with microphone volume (very low) and sometime dual touch but nothing very troublesome.

However, i'm wondering if there is a way to get working Mount2SD/Data2SD (or something like that) on this ROM ? Sometime, the device is very slow (in multitasking for example).

If you have some tutorial, it would be great ! :)

Works great! Had to install the Rockchip driver manually and initially installed the wrong version (for 64 bit, use amd64 even if you have an Intel chip). Also had to use a paper clip to reset after flashing was complete.

Unable to open the Kasty rom file with RKtools 1.5.

I get the green square, and can open and install the stock ROM just fine.  When I try to open the Kasty Zip with RKTools, the words Loading Firmware appear in the big white box, then I immediately get an error dialog with the words "Load Firmware Failed".  I have tried downloads from the main link and the three mirrors.  All the same result.  I have also tried RKTools 1.4. I have also tried renaming to update.img - no luck.  Is there an MD5sum to check the downloads or am I doing something daft?

OK so I did not read instructions well.  Read them again - Unzipped and loaded from update.img - worked fine!
