Hi friends

Please tell me if I can help / advise on the following problem?
I have a problem when you restart / start / unlock the tablet from sleep mode, after pressing the buton ,tablet immediately  automatically  restarts?
Any ideas why this happen? how can I fix the problem?

And when press on-off buton  apear menu and select the tablet  it does not stop (shutdown) but restarts automatically.

I did factory defaults and put the original firmware Arnova again but to no avail.

best regards

daniel.

Activate usb debugging, and use adb logcat to see what is generating the reboot.

I do not think I know something, because suddenly closes tablet and I think that data is lost when they give restart.
I tried the application on you but I do not see anything in that log.

What other choice do I have?

Flash back the stock firmware again, do a factory reset.

Thats why i said, enable usb debugging, and use adb logcat, because there you can see erorrs that do not appear on the screen of the tablet.

The following users say thank you to globula_neagra for this useful post:

Hi globula_neagra

After I struggled all day to find out what generates the problem, I managed to find these
problem was generated by asigment button, which from what I saw was wrong
I researched on the internet and with a little program ButtonRemapper - Beta v0.2.4, I was able to fix the problem.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850464

From what I saw this program on-off button and a IIa command was assimilated after I canceled the second order everything returned to normal.
Now I can wake the tablet from sleep position without having to restart itself.
Know that your choice is very good. Thanks for your help.
all the best

Hi Daniel,

as I have exactly the same problem and downloaded ButtonRemapper to fix it ...

Could you please advise, what exactly you did with this App?

I assume with on-off-button you mean the "Power"-button, correct?

Did you assign a new command ("wake" or "wake-dropped"?) or just started the App without changes (+ reboot)? The App complained that I don't have full root access - do I need this and how can I "root" the Tab?

Thanks a lot,

Jens

Hi jhartwig

My recommendation is not to make more changes than necessary software. (I have not tried the rest of the options)
The only option I changed it "wake" and then I give restart the tablet.
I honestly do not know if you must have root access. but worth trying you have nothing to lose.
