Does anybody know if Arnova 10b G3 supports USB accessory mode? My android application that communicates with FTDI chip works perfectly on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and Samsung Galaxy SII, but in case of Arnova, Android doesn't seem to detect the connected accessory (USB_ACCESSORY_ATTACHED event is not fired and android USB API says that there are no accessories connected), although I am connecting tablet to FTDI chip the same way as Samsung devices. Arnova tablet just says "connected as media device".

Is USB accessory mode what is usually named USB Host or OTG ?

If yes, that is supported by the 10b G3, an USB key or USB mouse/keyboard do work on the tablet.

I mean accessory mode as specified here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/connectivity/usb/index.html when external hardware that supports Android Open Accessory API (in my case FTDI chip) acts as USB host.

Well I didn't know about that USB accessory mode.

I had one FTDI chip here for an Arduino, it's not home at the moment, but I'll try it on the 10b G3 and other tablets when I get the chip back.

Which model is your FTDI chip ?

Cheers.
