The screen resolution on my Arnova 10b G3 is being reported as 1024 * 564 yet the spec sheet claims 1024 * 600.
I'd normally accept this, but the screen doesn't look to be running at a 1:1 ratio, it's quite fuzzy and just doesn't look right.
I'm running Cyanogenmod 7.
If there is a resolution to this issue i can't find it anywhere (Please excuse the bad pun)
The difference in the reported resolution may come from the status bar height that is not included in the calculation, I have seen that on many devices. It's quite likely to happen on the stock Arnova firmware, not only on your CM7 build.
As for the screen quality, the 10bG3 is a rather old model, using a rather cheap quality screen far from what we get with IPS displays nowadays. Or it may just be a density issue in your CM7, so you'd need to try a different density value. Please check our Arnova 10bG3 forum section, I think similar issue is covered in some posts regarding our custom firmware.
PS: I have moved your topic in the appropriate forum section.
