You neeto put the tablet in recovery mode. Press and hold vol+ for a couple of secs, whilst holding down vol+ push reset(a paperclip in the reset hole) and hold both for at least 15 secs. Let go of reset then let go of vol+ a few seconds later. That should get you into recovery mode. You then need to install the appropriate driver from the rockchip flashing package. There is a guide on the homepage if you get stuck.
Hope this helps.
The custom firmware has been updated to version 0.41a, it should fix problems with moving apps to SDcard.

Yep, you are correct, although the option is there, it will not move apps. Looking via astro filemanager I suspect that it is to do with how the tablet is configured as it has internal and external sd card options, it already believes that the apps are on an sd card where as other data such as photos ext can be stored on the external_sd drive.

That means that thing is pretty much useless right? 500mb for apps just ain't enough.
Back to the iPad. Another 160 Euros down the toilet.

I have a 10b g3 and updated to this custom ROM, well done all involved.  I do have a query.  The resolution doesn't seem correct and when i ran android sys info app it says it's 900 wide, but shouldn't it be 1024??  Have I missed something.. Flash based things like Iplayer etc just don't work properly.

My understanding is the no tabletsallow storage of apps to SD card. Tried an internet search which seems to back this up. I stand to be corrected.
Thats all ok with me. Still this bloody thing should have 4gigs, not 500mb internal storage for apps.
Hope i'm missing something (but doubt it).

I have just reflashed 0.4 firmware. It is interesting to see the difference in which it displays storage. On version 4, it shows one entry for Internal Storage of just of 2gb and one entry called SD card which is the external SD card. On the 4.1 version it shows 2 internal storage places of which one is apps at, as you say 500mb and on mine the other said 2gb of which I had supposedly used 1.5.
I guess you have more than 500mb available for apps, I thinks it is just the way it is displaying as on the version 4 it is showing as 2gb available. I might be wrong of course, guess we need to add more than 500mb of apps to see if it lets us.
Â
and @gouranga, it may be worth trying unmounting the internal card to see.
Â
I keep telling myself though that this is a ÂŁ140 tablet, and do I need it to add loads of apps to etc, to be fair it was only bougt so that I could use the internet on a bigger screen with the tablet tethered to my Desire S. The only thing I do miss is GPS, I want to buy a GPS dongle so that I can make use of location services on some apps, but as yet, no drivers etc. Lets hope someone can come up with something for that.

Seems there is a way to install to SD:
http://androinica.com/2010/08/how-to-install-apps-to-the-sd-card-by-default-on-android-2-2-froyo/
Now if we only would have an ADB driver for this device.

Not only can we not move to sd on version 0.41a but some apps will not install on version 0.41a where they installed fine on version 0.40.....
Â
Apps that installed fine on version 0.40 but not version 0.41a are:-
Â
1. Sainsburys
2. Argos
Â
They download and then give the following error on installation:-Â Unable to install on USB storage or SD card.
Â
There were more apps but I cannot remember what they were as its the wife's tablet. I tried a couple of apps that need root to move to sd but they never worked either.
