Try this, without the charger plugged in, press the power button and boot up your tablet. When the second Arnova boot screen appears wait for 20/25 seconds and then without doing anything else plug in the charger, after about 20 seconds your tablet should go to the screen lock page. That is the only way I can get my tablet to boot.
Hope this works for you.
Thanks BBDL ! I also had the "boot problem", and just managed to boot with your solution.
I expect the developper will find the problem fast, it's a really annoying bug
But really a big thanks to all dev and admin, that make a good job for our tablets, and try to help us as much as they can !
I don't manage to do this process, to boot the tablet each time, it's a bit hard.
The boot process is :
"Arnova" -> Black screen during 1 sec -> "Arnova" -> Lock screen
When do you exactly plug the power in ?
During 1st "Arnova" ? At the begining of the black screen ? In the middle of the black screen ? At the begining of the 2nd "Arnova" ? During the 2nd "Arnova" ?
Plz help, I can't use my table !!!
It doesn't work for me
It just worked 1 time, and I don't remember exactly when I plugged the power in. I think it was between the black screen and the 2nd "Arnova".
I didn't understood what said tangoid and 8Bitradditech about the density. I changed it from 160 to 120, but didn't worked for me. Anyone has an idea to help me plz ?
Did the boot problem start after you changed the screen density?
I changed the density from 160 to 120 and I had boot problems and I had to re flash my tablet, you may have to do the same.
Yes, I think the app "Maxthon" changed the density (if it's the brightness of the screen), there's a "nigth mode" that makes the screen darker. I guess it's that.
Which version of jellybean are you using?
I don't know, I use the version in the "kasty_oma-arn10bg3-41-046-2G.zip".
I'm going to try to reflash the tablet. Thanks for your help
Just a suggestion to get around needing to plug in the charger to reboot.
Do not do a complete shutdown each time.
When you are just doing day to day stuff and don't really need to do a full reboot, just tap the on/off button.
This puts the 10bG3 into a Power-save mode. When you need to do something just tap the button again.
I have been doing this for 2 weeks through out the workday (45 - 50 times/day) with no problems with battery drain or locking up. You might want to have the charger with you though, just in case you forget or the button gets pushed by something else and you don't notice until it's too late.
For the life of me, I cannot boot into recovery on this, I had issues with the last firmware with this aswell, I could not boot into recovery, I can only do it with the USB cable out of the tablet and using the power button + volume up to boot into recovery, reset just... well... resets.. the only way I was able to install my last firmware was using the arc tools program and install it via that, is there anyway this could be uploaded to that app?
EDIT: okay, so I think i managed to get it into recovery, BUT, the screen stays black and an unidentified device appears on my device list, I try to install the 64bit drivers, but I have windows 8, and using the windows 7 drivers makes me get an error about tampered driver files? do you guys have a windows 8 driver file I can use?
Hi mgsdude, sorry I don't have windows 8, so can't tell you if it'll work on your computer.
But maybe you could try to create a virtual machine in Hyper-V with windows 7 on it (http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2493-hyper-v-how-use-windows-8-a.html), so you'll be able to install the drivers.
Don't know if it's a solution, but if you have time to loose...
By the way, still no news of the dev team ??
Plz tell us you work hard on it, so we can sleep at night !
