Hi, I don't know how to replace the services.jar file :

 - I upload it on my device

 - I use ES files explorer

 - I copy/paste the file but I have an error message : /system/framework/services/jar : open failed : EACCES (Permission denied)

Someone can explain how to proceed ?

Hi,

The good directory is not "/system/framework/services/ja". The good one is "/system/framework/".

Your file should be : "/system/framework/services.jar". Maybe it's your problem.

Or maybe you should activate the "root mode" in Es explorer :

In the french version, I have "Menu->Outils->Explorateur root",

so I guess in english it's "Menu->Tools->Root explorer".

It was the good directory ( i made a mistake in the error code).

I succeed in activating the root mode and I could replace the file.

It seems to work now. Thanks for all.

hi guys

I downloaded the firmware and unzipped it and it was stored as img update. I then downloaded flashing tool and unpacked it. I dropped the two into my Arnova icon on my pc after connecting the 2 of course. I switched off and reset the tablet with a paperclip and holding volume up button

The tablet went through the update process and rebooted but froze at Arnova logo. What am i doing wrong?

I was using a Linux pc could this possibly play a part?

Please help i am desperate to do this upgrade. Thanks

i cant for the life of me get this thing (arnova 10b G3 model# AN10BG3) to get recognized. i understand i have to hold volume + and reset to go into recovery mode but it always "malfunctions" according to windows. i have checked the "Flashing your Arnova G2, Arnova G3, Rockchip RK29xx/RK30xx based tablet with Rockchip flashing tool" page and even got a loading firmware text once but the problem still occurs. please if possible could someone help
