Just bought my 10b G3. Android version is 4.0.3 and kernel version is 3.0.8
The wi-fi sensitivity is very low. The range on my home wireless is only about 20 ft.
(about 6 or 7 meters). My other wi-fi devices have a range of 200 ft. (about 66 meters)
or more. I have taken the 10b G3 to several businesses that offer wi-fi
and often unable to connect due to weak signal but my ther wi-fi devices show high signal
strength. Is there someting that I can do to improve this? Have I purchased a defective
10b G3? Have I made a poor purchase? This is my first tablet and I like the experience
and I do not want to spend more money to buy a competitor's model but the wi-fi is all
but unuseable as it is. Help, please?
What you could do is edit the build.prop to make its wifi scan interval higher. The way to do this is by getting rom toolbox pro then going to build.prop editor then locating your way to wifi scan interval. Be aware that when you do this, it lessens your battery power and it requires root access.
Increasing it by ten each time may work in order to achieve better connection distances.
